Renal failure or kidney failure describes a medical condition in which the kidneys fail to adequately filter toxins and waste products from the blood. Symptoms can vary from person to person.
Your doctor will tell you what you should and should not eat to reduce the buildup of toxins that are normally handled by the kidneys. Your care provider can help you stay on the diet recommended by your physician.
If dialysis is needed your care provider can travel with you on the dialysis trips.
The care provider can assist patients with activities of daily living, such as:
Bathing
Dressing
Toileting
Transfers
Transportation
Ambulating (walking)
Continence care and feeding (as needed by the patient and recommended by their physician)
Medication reminders
Run errands
Light housekeeping
Diet monitoring
Meal preparation
Accompany to doctor’s appointments
Monitor for gross behavioral changes
Help to maintain safety
Passive exercises
